The 3rd Member Congress of Zhejiang Agricultural Innovators Development Association Held in Hangzhou

On the afternoon of December 22, the 3rd Member Congress of Zhejiang Agricultural Innovators Development Association was held in Hangzhou. Wang Tonglin, Director of the Provincial Agricultural Office, Party Secretary and Minister of the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, attended the meeting and delivered a speech.

Wang Tonglin warmly congratulated the congress and pointed out that agricultural innovators have become a shining brand of Zhejiang’s “three rural” work. He emphasized that the agricultural innovation cause faces a long road ahead and called on the vast number of agricultural innovators to continue their efforts, striving forward and playing a greater role in promoting the “Ten Million Project” to reduce the “Three Major Gaps” and serve as pioneers in the demonstration of common prosperity. He also hoped that the Provincial Agricultural Innovators Association would provide more warmth and support to agricultural innovators and help Zhejiang showcase the role of agricultural innovation in the process of modernizing agriculture and rural areas in a Chinese style, while building a strong agricultural innovation brand. Wang Tonglin stated that the Provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs will continue to deepen guidance and support, being a strong backing and support team for agricultural innovators.

In recent years, Zhejiang has been at the forefront of cultivating and developing agricultural innovators across the country. Since 2021, Zhejiang has launched the “100,000 Agricultural Innovators Training Program,” closely integrating it with the modern “new farmer” training action. The province took the lead in introducing policies for agricultural innovators, providing multi-dimensional support in terms of funding, land, and technology. To date, more than 84,000 agricultural innovators have been trained across the province, injecting new vitality into rural revitalization in Zhejiang and promoting common prosperity in agriculture and rural areas.
